Demagogue Donald Declares, “I’m Running to be President for ‘All of America’”--No, President of MAGA America July 19, 2024
In his July 18, 2024 acceptance speech at the GOP Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Demagogue Donald called for “unity.” He declared, “I’m running to be president for all of America.” Another “ y uu ge” lie from this unsurpassed “lyin’ king.” Donald apparently does not understand that Democrats in this country are also Americans. Instead, after calling for “unity,” Trump went back to his falsely yelling about “partisan Democratic witch hunts,” a staple of his at just about every one of his campaign rallies before adoring MAGA crowds who would believe anything and everything that he tells them no matter how absurd. In Trump’s own words, “If Democrats want to unify our country, they should drop these partisan witch hunts which I have been going through for approximately eight years, and they should do that without delay and allow an election to proceed that is worthy of our people.” Again, this is total “malarkey,” as our present occupant of the White House would say. This is, as they say in psychology, utter projection on Donald’s part. You, Demagogue Donald incited your fanatical followers, not the Democrats, on January 6, 2021 to delay a properly conducted election. You got your mob to storm the Capitol because you and your gang didn’t like the 2020 election result– Democratic Joe Biden’s victory (cnn.com, 7/18/24). Because you didn’t win that contest, you found the 2020 election, one of the fairest conducted in U.S. history, not a “worthy” contest.
Trump went on to falsely state that the Democratic Party “should immediately stop “weaponizing the justice system.” He labeled Democrats “an enemy of democracy (cnn.com, 7/18/24).” How rich of you, Donald, to say that! You are the one who repeatedly called the media “the enemy of the people.” And Donald, if I remember, you used the Justice Department, which is supposed to look after the American people as your very own personal weapon whenever you could. You stacked it with loyalists to the very end of your administration. Your Executive branch henchmen communicated with your GOP friends in Congress to ignore Democratic complaints and make sure to bury any scandals that you and your “Team Red” buddies were getting into. You, Demagogue Donald have the nerve to call legitimate subpoenas from the Democrats and “crazy Nancy Pelosi,” then House Speaker, “attempts to destroy our country (cnn.com).” What type of presidential nominee other than you uses such nasty unhinged terms about the leader of the opposing party during an acceptance speech and throughout your four years in the White House? And then you didn’t think that such hateful speech contributed to one of your deranged MAGA followers trying to kill Nancy’s husband Paul in his own home by fracturing his skull with a hammer? You laughed at and made fun of Paul Pelosi’s very serious injuries– MAGA “humor,” I suppose. Of course, your family should have immunity from getting legitimate subpoenas, because you think of yourself and them as basically royals untouchable by the laws and legal proceedings all the rest of us must follow.
And you will be unable to unify American should you, Heaven forbid, win a second term. Oh no! The running mate you picked for VP, Ohio GOP Senator J.D. Vance, Mr. “Hillbilly Elegy,” is a suck-up MAGA “mini-me” who will do anything you say and grovel before you anytime you tell him to. Donald, please don’t EVER talk about trying to unify America and attempting to help our country. All you want to do is help your narcissistic self, something you have done and will continue to do all your life. You are, in effect, running to be President of the MAGA nation, not of the U.S. that most of us know and love.
